Universal Battery Holder V2

Introducing the Universal Battery Holder V2, a lightweight and user-friendly battery holder specifically designed for shorty batteries. This holder can be effortlessly installed on any Bingo Wasp chassis, as well as MST RMX 2.0/2.5/M chassis (eliminating the hassle of those pesky battery holder body pins.) The Universal Battery Holder V2 is compatible with both thin (~19mm) and thick (~25mm) shorty battery packs. Originally crafted for the MST RMX chassis, this versatile holder is now compatible with virtually any Wasp Chassis. It comes in either red or black anodized hardware, depending on the carbon color. Standard matte twill carbon offers both red and black hardware variations.

The Universal Battery Holder V2 enhances its predecessor by enabling the simultaneous installation of lock tabs for both 19mm and 25mm thick batteries. The kit now comprises four lock tabs and four lock nuts. Additionally, the end plates are now symmetrical, facilitating the installation of all four lock tabs if desired.

1. Universal Battery Holder V2 Parts

The Universal Battery holder V2 kit includes:

2 x end plates

4 x lock tab

2 x 9mm spacers

2 x 15mm spacers

4 x 8mm standoffs

4 x locknuts

2 x M3x18 BHS

2 x M3x24 BHS

4 x M3x6 BHS

4 x M3x6 FHS

2a. Install 2 Lock Tabs

Install lock tabs as shown. Slide the lock tab onto the M3x18 BHS, followed by the 9mm spacer, then the end plate and lock nut. Lightly tighten the lock nut, then back out enough to allow the lock tab to turn with a bit of friction grip.

2b. Install 4 Lock Tabs (optional)

If you plan on using both thin and thick batteries, you can install all 4 lock tabs by adding the 15mm spacers and 25mm BHS. It is recommended that you install each pair in opposite corners.

3. Attach Standoffs

Loosely attach the 4 x 8mm standoffs to the end plates as shown, using the 4 x M3x6 button head screws.

4. Attach End Plates to Chassis

Attach the end plates using the 4 x M3x6 flat head screws.

5. Bottom view

Tighten down the 4  flat head screws.

6. Adjust End Plates

Adjust the end plates to fit your battery. Allow a little bit of room for easier removal of the battery. Tighten down the 4 button head screws. This image shows the thin shorty battery installed.

6. Thick shorty battery

This shows the thick shorty battery installed. Simply move the lock plates to the side if they are not being used.
